She graduated with honours in Dentistry from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart at the Agostino Gemelli University Hospital in Rome.
She continued her training at the same hospital's Dental Clinic, where she obtained her specialist qualification in Orthodontics with honours.
After a period in private practice in Rome, she has worked in Matera since 1998.
